Galley Slave

“Pull!  Pull!  Pull!  Put yer back into it, yer filthy dogs!  Pull!”

An enslaved citizen of a conquered city-state is unlikely to be looking to expand his or her skill set.  No matter, since the job description of a galley slave is one-dimentional: row the boat.  Even if the galley slave can fire an arrow, forge a sword, or explain the nuances of crop rotation, he (or she) likely has little interest in helping his (or her) captors accomplish much.  So galley slaves are rarely called upon to be more than the human equivalent of an outboard motor.

A drink rated galley slave for skill is as straightforward as you can get.  Opening a can of beer or pouring a shot, for example.  So simple, an enslaved soldier from a neighboring Greek city state would probably do it for you without much grumbling.
